Into the Nether

Ok reputation. Other than building rep with Stormwind and Darnassus (beinga nightelf and all) I have never thought about it. Hem had fun getting "Son's of Hodir" for those shoulder enchants as I helped her with a couple of quests but generally - of no interest.

Epic flying... oooo... 5000g aghhh
....but if you have Honor hold faction you can have it .. oh wait its changed to Stormwind... weee so I coughed up 4k gold + 200g for a mount and epic I am.

The downside; I have a griffin. Its very nice and all but its a bit boring. Yes it is 280% but at the end of the day its a griffin with a hoody. Also in some ways I think I would have preferred flying to stay at 60% instead of 150% as I don't honestly see a lot of difference in the speed.

So back to reputation and Stevie (yay Steve a mention in my blog) who introduced me to WOW back when I was playing Guild Wars. I lunked my PC over to his place on Saturday night and we gamed and discussed flying so inevitably it went onto what we were flying and he said he was rep grinding.

She's a nightmare

Well the vine anyway. So tonite was my first venture to Shadowmoon Valley. My what a depressing place all fire and brimstone. However it is very good for herbing and being 78 I get ignored by mobs.

The black temple is more green but I couldn't get into it. Money is still going up nicely

I can fly

So Christmas has come and gone and I have to go back to work soon.

The end result is:

• I have levelled to 77
• The Dungeon Finder is the coolest thing ever - being a tank I press get group and "bing" I have a group. hem on teh other hand has a 15 min wait as DPS
• The raid finder is poo as you can't queue for both - I presume they don't want you to bug out of an instance but it would be nice to have a choice
• I need a new processor/memory/mb combo as my lovely 28" monitor really stuffs up my FPS - I had to turn things down last night as I was getting 1 FPS at one point. So 6gb ram and i7 920 ready for next LAN.

It's cold up there

So to Northrend.

I decided that as I was only halfway through the third zone out of seven when I reached 68 that why am I making life so hard on myself. I have stuck to my no-fly rule but decided I am pout of there. That was last night and it has taken this long to empty my bags and quest logs.

So my first impression? Blizzard stepped up the graphics settings as at the pointof appearing in Northrend Howling Fjord I noticed the boat was higher detailed. So an instant graphics upgrade.

I am too low for first aid training or aclchemy but I did get my welcome to better herbalism:


Anyway its a LAN evening with Tom and Steve so more later...

Life in WOW

So current WOW family news:

Priest Sunday
Awhile ago Viv and I started priests up to do them together (you know the face melting shadow type with a bit of healing in there too). We said we would only do these together however Sunday's are off the menu currently as Viv's enchanter needs to go up levels. She has found a person around her level and is doing that until she can DE infinite dust - come back after that...

Ding
I dinged 66 Saturday and 67 Sunday

Flying
I am in the odd situation of following others and I have chosen (for better or worse) not to fly until 70. Now that does mean I do not need to actually buy one at 70 either as moving to northrend means I won't be able to fly until 77 anyway... so do I try for epic only?
